Exhibition concept for the French artist Yves Klein at Moderna Museet in Stockholm. Klein, known for his bold works challenging the conventions of art, explored philosophical dimensions and obsessed with the idea of emptiness, which was manifested in his art of selling "nothing".
Nothing for Sale
The concept Nothing for Sale honors Yves Klein's unconventional ideas, questioning traditional art norms. The exhibition uses simple design and symbolic emptiness to explore the meaning of art. Inspired by Klein's abstract concepts, it challenges the value of art in the market by not selling anything physical. It encourages viewers to think about art's meaning, showing that interpretation is as important as what's physically there.
The invitation
Invitation inspired by Yves Klein's 'Aerostatic
Sculpture,
Paris, 1957': A white empty envelope suspended from a string attached to a white helium
balloon.
Print
Inspired by Klein's idea of emptiness, showcases
a nearly empty white canvas positioned beside an empty frame. It highlights the concept of
paying for nothing by using just one canvas, which amplifies the message and turns the
vacant space within the frame into a work of art itself.
